Thomas A. Bowen (1916-1982) acquired and developed his knowledge as a self-taught, creating a unique and independent treatment system that is now referred to worldwide as the Bowen Technique. Tom Bowen was a minimalist talent with exceptional abilities, blessed with deep inner wisdom in terms of human attitude and body treatment.

From the early 1940s, he lived and worked in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. His interest increasingly led him to suffering and pain relief. During this time, his ability to help his co-workers and those around him with physical problems with a few simple movements and easy manipulation became apparent.

Compared to other methods, the Bowen Technique is not easy to describe. Its essence is the integrated response given by the organization.
